Charity Commission of England and Wales concerned with cheques written to “cash”

The Charity Commission of England and Wales is concerned that about 100 charities have been writing cheques to “cash”.  From an internal control perspective, this makes it hard to know who is receiving such funds and should either never be done, or only be done in very limited circumstances.
