According to the T3010 data, over 3 million Canadians work full-time and over 3 million work part-time for Canadian registered charities. It is not clear if these numbers are accurate but what is clear is that charities have lots of employees and charities spend every year a lot on employment. The employees earn approximately $192 billion per year. This article, Largest Canadian Registered Charities by Employment Compensation 2022, takes data from the CRA’s T3010 Registered Charity Information Return and shows the charities that spend the most on employment compensation.
