There are 8 recommendations that follow the 3 recommendations from the first report:
- Recommendation one: Reconciliation as beneficial to the community under the fourth head of charity
- Recommendation two: Improving the relationship between the Charities Directorate and Indigenous communities or Indigenous-led charities
- Recommendation three: Building cultural awareness and competency
- Recommendation four: Obtaining qualified donee status as a municipal or public body performing a function of government
- Recommendation five: Towards a national data strategy
- Recommendation six: Improving data completeness, timeliness, and accuracy
- Recommendation seven: Building data on diversity
- Recommendation eight: Simplifying categories of charity under the Income Tax Act
