The Effective and Accountable Charities Act passes the Senate, still has to go through the House and not clear if it will ever become law

It looks like Bill S-216, the Effective and Accountable Charities Act has passed the Senate and will now move to the House of Commons.   It was formerly Bill S-222 but died when the Liberals called that very important 2021 Federal election.   I have written a lot about how problematic this legislation and its previous version is including in this blog post below:
